E STuudio Chamber Choir
E STuudio Youth Choir (which continued as E STuudio Chamber Choir in 2022) was born in 2013, when E STuudio Girls’ Choir invited young and experienced male singers into their midst to participate in the Cork International Choral Festival. The festival was a success, as the newborn choir achieved first place overall.
Since then, the choir has successfully represented Estonia in numerous international and local choral festivals, competitions and concert tours. During these past 13 years, audiences from several European countries as well as from Canada, USA, Australia, and Singapore have seen and heard the choir perform. E STuudio Chamber Choir is known for its wide dynamic range and well-balanced sound.
These two aspects play a crucial role in choosing the choir’s repertoire and shaping the overall artistic quality. Most of the repertoire consists of contemporary choral music, but also includes other genres, like classical choral and folk music, among others. Additionally, the choir regularly collaborates with orchestras, other choirs, artists and conductors, to enhance its musical variety: in 2025/2026 season the choir successfully brought to the stage two film music concerts.
Recent notable achievements include winning 1st place in contemporary and 3rd place in chamber choir category in Tallinn 2025 International Choir Festival and participating in Arezzo International Choral Competition in 2025. Since day one, the main conductor and artistic director has been Külli Lokko; for the past three seasons two young conductors, Karita Käesel and Sten Zaitsev, have been working beside her.
