Mixed choir IMUSICAPELLA

Formed in 2002, Imusicapella is a church choir based at the Our Lady of the Pillar Parish and St.Peregrine Chapel in Imus, Cavite. Its founder and conductor is Tristan Caliston Ignacio.
In a span of 22 years, Imusicapella has embarked in 12 international tours in Europe, Asia and North America. They have participated and won top prizes in international choral competitions in Varna (Bulgaria); Tours (France); Debrecen (Hungary); Arezzo and Gorizia (Italy); Montreux and Neuchatel (Switzerland); Marktoberdorf, Lindenholzhausen and Mainhausen (Germany); Spittal and Baden (Austria); Sopot (Poland); Torrevieja (Spain); Busan (South Korea); Takarazuka (Japan); and San Luis Obispo (California, USA). They have participated in international choral festivals in Fano (Italy); Nancy (France), Vitoria and Burgos (Spain) and Jihlava (Czech Republic).
Imusicapella were the recipient of the “General Licerio Topacio Special Award” for being an outstanding group of the city of Imus. They were a 6-time recipient of the Ani ng Dangal Award by the National Commission for Culture and the Arts. The choir have been successful in achieving top prizes in local and national choral competitions. They topped the 3 categories they joined in at the 2009 Cultural Center of the Philippines National Choral Competition.
Imusicapella has the purpose to promote, advance and uphold Philippine culture in the country and internationally through an abiding commitment to choral excellence. They have become steadfast in their goal of attaining choral distinction and recognition as one of the Philippines’ finest vocal ensembles.
