Choir VIVA has won the highest awards in Lithuania and abroad in a short period of life. The joy of creativity and musical discoveries for VIVA singers are the strongest incentives to be together. The members of the choir are not professional musicians, but their determination and dedication have led choir VIVA to be recognized as the best amateur choir in Lithuania.

The choir’s first rehearsal took place in the fall of 2011. There was a deficit of female choirs in Lithuania, and a misconception that the sound of a female choir is limited, but the choir ́s leader and conductor, Vilija Mažintaite, decided to change this thanks to her professional knowledge and dedication, and has been successfully doing it for 13 years. VIVA is distinguished by its repertoire, because most of the compositions are written specifically for the choir. The choir’s listeners say they feel the special energy of the choir during each concert, and that’s the goal of VIVA – to reach people through the music.
