Great thanks to all the choirs for applications for the 1st International Baltic Sea Choir Competition!
We are glad to receive so many applications and already the 1st year of the competition promises high level performances and a tense contest.
Before we announce the selected choirs, here is a small insight about the greatness of Latvian choir music - a story on BBC by the Artistic Director of the competition Jānis Ozols.

Friday, 22 September, 2017
- Morning – welcome of choirs, settling in the hotels
- During the day – acoustic rehearsals of competition program at the competition venue - Concert Hall
- Evening – non-competitive opening concert of the competition at the Dubulti Church
Jury will not evaluate choir performance at the opening concert.
Saturday, 23 September, 2017
- Morning: competition – Compulsory Program
- Evening: competition – Free Program
Grand Prix program participants will be made known at most one hour after the completion of the free program.
Sunday, 24 September, 2017
Grand Prix final - competition closing concert:
- Grand Prix program
- Performance of concert special guest
- Announcement of results and award ceremony
Precise rehearsal, competition and concert times will be announced after selection of participants and approval of participation.
